Visiting the Lowry's and OU!

A few weeks ago we took Bryce and Laney on their first trip to visit the Lowry's in Norman. We had a GREAT day and enjoyed getting to play with Carter and catch up with Amanda and Travis. Carter is so cute and super smart. He's already very organized...which of course I love!
While we were there we also took some pictures on OU's campus. They will be fun to look at later when Carter, Bryce and Laney head off to college there!! :) We drove to Norman and back in same day and Bryce & Laney did great! They were worn out by the end but so were we. It was worth it to get to see the Lowry's!
I love this picture! They're playing with Carter's trains! Here we are by the Seed Sower in the South Oval. Typically there are lots of pretty flowers in the gardens behind him. I couldn't exactly remember why we had a seed sower so I looked it up: a reminder of the importance of sowing the seeds of knowledge, to bear fruit in the future.

Travis and Amanda are expecting a new baby boy in September! We can't wait to meet Greyson!

Bryce and Laney's First Trip!

Thanks to Grandma Nell we got to take Bryce and Laney on their first trip! I have to admit that there were several times I thought we were crazy for taking 2 active one year olds on a plane for 2 1/2 hours each way. They completely shocked us and didn't make a peep either way. The big debate was whether or not to take the carriers. I'm REALLY glad that we decided too! It was really nice to have help through the airport too.

Laney made sure to wear her "I Love Grandma" bib while we were there!

Taking a walk in front of Grandma's House...

We also got to meet some of my friends for a quick breakfast. Stacy is one of my best friends from growing up! We've kept in contact the whole 15 years that I've lived in Texas. These are her two great kids, Josalyn and Jaalen. I just love them and wish we would've had more time with them!

Uncle Jim holding Laney right before we left!

Aunt Wendi took this on our way out! We were lucky enough to get to stay at their beautiful house. Aunt Wendi was of course the perfect hostess, thought of every detail, and spoiled us! Uncle Jim was so nice to let us use his car. Thank you both for a fun trip!!! We're back in Dallas...waiting on the shuttle!

Happy Birthday Grandma Nell!

Grandma Nell had a fun party at Uncle Jim's restaurant, Stone Creek! Aunt Wendi did a great job with the details and we had the best cake ever! She knows all of the good places. :) Thanks to Mom and Uncle Jim for a great dinner. We really enjoyed getting to see our whole family in one place. Grandma is having a rough time but I think she enjoyed herself!
Our 5 generation picture
Aunt Sue is my great-grandma's sister...Grandma Nell's aunt!

Uncle Jim and Aunt Wendi with Grandma! Our really close family friend Tracy with her adorable daughter Cassandra! They were already headed to Winthrop Harbor but came a week early just for the party. So sweet!!! It was great to see you guys...wish we could have spent more time with you.Great, Great, Great Uncle Gene (Grandma Nell's Uncle)
Grandma with her nurse Mindy...I think the party may have been her idea! She had a big pan of lasagna waiting for us when we got to Grandmas. Thanks, Mindy!! The boys... Cousins- Jamie, April and Aixa

Laney's latest scan results!

Yes, I'm very behind in posting this but Laney's latest scan results came back just perfect! No sign of cancer at all!!! We were so thankful and excited. They said that it will take about 2 years before they feel pretty sure that it won't come back but we'll take what we can get for now. Here's a picture of her with Grandma waiting for her scan...with her favorite toy, my mint box.

Bryce and Laney meet Jackson!

Our good friends from college, Dan and Susan, were visiting Dallas and brought their cute little boy Jackson to meet Bryce and Laney! They all had a great time!! We're trying to convince them to move to Plano. :) I have a feeling it's not going to happen, though.

Cade's Soccer Game!

Our nephew Cade has started playing soccer and it is so cute!!! Here he is in action...he did a great job!Aunt Renee with Laney! Cade and Bryce playing on the sidelines. Bryce was so interested in the game. Maybe Cade can give him some soccer lessons!

The new swing!

Kevin put the new swing out on the tree! Bryce liked it but didn't just love it. He looked so cute though!

Laney loved the swing and got more excited the higher we pushed her! We think she's going to be our roller coaster rider. We'll see!

We have a pink swing for Laney but we haven't put it up yet.

Laney and Alli!

Alli is Carrie and Daniel's little girl (from our LifeGroup) and she is adorable! Laney and Alli are going to be great friends!

First thing in the morning...

This is what I get to see every morning when I get Bryce and Laney up. I made this a bigger picture so you could see Laney's cute little head popping up out of her crib (she's on her tummy). They spend about 15 minutes talking to each other and playing in their cribs before I get them up. They get really excited when I open the door!! It's one of my favorite times and I know this stage won't last for long!!

Meeting Great-Grandmother Minton!

Bryce and Laney recently got to meet their Great Grandmother Minton! She is Kevin's Grandmother on his Mom's side. We had a really fun visit and the babies did so well! They loved checking out Grandmother's house and interacting with her. They both smiled at her a lot. Did you notice Laney's new super cute bow from Grandmom? We loved it so much we changed bows in the parking lot after she gave it to us. There's also a new pink and purple one to come! Thanks Grandmom!!!!

Both looking right at Great Grandmother! So sweet!
